Equal Rites is a fantasy novel by Terry Pratchett, the second in his Discworld series. It was first published in 1987 and follows the story of Eskarina Smith, a young girl who is mistakenly identified as a boy and raised as a wizard.

Eskarina decides to leave Ankh-Morpork and set out on a journey to find her own place in the world. She is joined by a group of friends, including a talking cat named Greebo, a dwarf named Rhince, and a troll named Troll. Together, they travel the Discworld, fighting against evil and helping those in need.
Equal Rites is a funny and heartwarming story about a young girl who discovers her own strength and power. It is a classic of fantasy literature and a must-read for fans of Terry Pratchett.
