A Legacy of Glory

The origins of the First to Fight can be traced back to the distant past, a time when the Emperor himself led his armies in the Great Crusade. During the Siege of Terra, the 11th Expeditionary Fleet played a pivotal role in the defense of the Imperial Palace. Their bravery and determination earned them the moniker 'First to Fight', a title they proudly carry to this day.

Throughout the millennia, the First to Fight have served with distinction in countless wars. They fought valiantly against the Orks during the Ullanor Crusade, repelled the invading Tyranids during the First Tyrannic War, and crushed the forces of Chaos in the Gothic War. Their unwavering loyalty has never wavered, their faith in the Emperor an unbreakable bond.

Structure and Command

The First to Fight is organized into ten regiments, each consisting of approximately 10,000 soldiers. The regiments are led by experienced commanders known as Colonels, who answer directly to the Lord General of the Corps. The current Lord General is Marneus Calgar, a legendary figure known for his unwavering determination and unwavering belief in the Emperor.

Within each regiment, the troops are divided into companies, platoons, and squads. Each unit has its own specialized role, from infantry and armor to artillery and reconnaissance. The First to Fight also maintains a number of elite units, such as the Deathwatch and the Imperial Fists, who are deployed on the most dangerous and critical missions.

Unrivaled Discipline and Skill

The First to Fight are renowned for their unparalleled discipline and combat skills. Recruits are drawn from the most loyal and dedicated citizens of the Imperium, and they undergo rigorous training from a young age. They are drilled in marksmanship, tactics, and survival skills, and they are taught to obey orders without question.

In addition to their physical training, the First to Fight also receive extensive indoctrination in the Imperial Creed. They are taught the history and beliefs of the Imperium, and they are instilled with an unwavering loyalty to the Emperor. This indoctrination ensures that the First to Fight will always fight to the end, no matter the odds.

State-of-the-Art Arsenal

The First to Fight is equipped with the most advanced weaponry and equipment that the Imperium has to offer. They are armed with lasguns, autoguns, and plasma weapons, and they have access to a variety of vehicles, including tanks, artillery, and aircraft. The First to Fight also make extensive use of psykers, who provide them with psychic support and protection.

One of the most iconic pieces of equipment used by the First to Fight is the power armor. This heavily armored suit provides the wearer with enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Power armor is also equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors, making it a formidable weapon on the battlefield.

Legendary Engagements

The First to Fight have fought in countless battles, and their legendary exploits are recounted throughout the Imperium. One of their most famous victories was the Battle of Shadowbrink, where they defeated a massive Ork invasion force. In the Battle of Armageddon, the First to Fight played a key role in the defeat of the Chaos hordes led by Angron.

The First to Fight also played a vital role in the defense of Terra during the Horus Heresy. They fought valiantly against the traitors, and their loyalty never wavered. In the end, they helped to secure the Emperor's victory and ensure the survival of the Imperium.

A Beacon of Hope

The Imperial Guard Corps 11 is a shining example of the courage, determination, and loyalty that define the Astra Militarum. They are the first to fight, the last to retreat, and they will never falter in their duty to the Emperor.

The First to Fight are a beacon of hope in a galaxy filled with darkness. They are a reminder that even in the face of overwhelming odds, humanity can still prevail. They are an inspiration to all who fight for the Emperor, and they will continue to fight until the final victory is won.

May the Emperor watch over the First to Fight, and may they continue to serve as a beacon of hope in the darkest of times.
