A tote bag is a great project for beginners because it's simple to make and can be customized to your own style. To make a tote bag, you'll need:

• 1 yard of fabric
• 2 pieces of ribbon or fabric for the handles (each piece should be about 24 inches long)
• Sewing machine

• Scissors

Instructions:

1. Cut two pieces of fabric that are 18 inches wide by 15 inches high.
2. Fold each piece of fabric in half lengthwise and press the crease.
