In his explosive book 'Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America's Progressive Elite', investigative journalist Peter Schweizer exposes the corrupt practices of some of the most powerful figures in the Democratic Party. Schweizer meticulously documents instances of insider trading, influence peddling, and self-dealing, painting a damning picture of a political class that has lost its way.
Chapter 1: The Clinton Foundation
Schweizer begins his book with an in-depth examination of the Clinton Foundation, a charitable organization founded by former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Schweizer alleges that the Clinton Foundation has been used as a vehicle for influence peddling and self-enrichment, with donors to the foundation receiving favorable treatment from the Clinton administration.
For example, Schweizer reveals that the Clinton Foundation received millions of dollars from foreign governments, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar, while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Schweizer also alleges that the Clintons used their influence to help friends and associates obtain lucrative contracts and appointments.
Chapter 2: The Obama Administration
Schweizer next turns his attention to the Obama administration, alleging that it was rife with corruption. Schweizer documents instances of insider trading by Obama administration officials, as well as cases of cronyism and favoritism.
For example, Schweizer reveals that former Obama administration official Timothy Geithner sold his shares in Goldman Sachs just before the financial crisis hit, making a profit of over $4 million. Schweizer also alleges that Obama administration officials awarded contracts to friends and associates, including a $535 million contract to a company owned by Obama donor Solyndra.
Chapter 3: The Biden Family
Schweizer's book also includes a chapter on the Biden family, alleging that they have engaged in a pattern of corruption and self-dealing. Schweizer documents instances of Hunter Biden using his father's position as Vice President to enrich himself, as well as cases of Joe Biden using his influence to help his family members obtain lucrative contracts.
For example, Schweizer reveals that Hunter Biden was paid $50,000 per month by a Ukrainian energy company while his father was Vice President. Schweizer also alleges that Joe Biden used his influence to help his son obtain a lucrative contract to build a natural gas pipeline in Ukraine.
In 'Profiles in Corruption', Peter Schweizer paints a damning picture of corruption in the Democratic Party. Schweizer's book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the extent to which power has corrupted America's political class.
